About Us

Hi from Central Illinois,

We are a husband wife team, Amelia creates the patterns and Josh tests them.

We started experimenting with foundation paper piecing in early 2025 and fell in love with it. 

After moving from New Hampshire to the great corn desert of central Illinois, we found ourselves in between Jobs and decided to try quilting. Amelia, who has been sewing since childhood, taught Josh how to sew and our Summer Sleet FPP adventures began. 

Josh is a mechanic and farmer, Amelia is a housewife and artist, we have 3 children, a dog, and a rabbit. 

Why FPP? because it is like making a puzzle, finding ways to create pictures out of fabric while staying within the strict FPP parameters. 

Our goal is to stay true to our style. With the illusion of movement and flow, a dash of whimsy, and a dollop of death metal, as well as incorporating some traditional quilt piecing into the designs. We love working with bright colors, prints, as well as a slightly darker side for Josh.
